Description

This preparation cream has been clinically proven to treat and soothe dry, itchy, flaking, chapped, rough and calloused skin, as well as treats sunburn and detergent hands.

Pharmacology

This preparation cream contains Medilan, a medical grade, highly purified, hypoallergenic form of lanolin.

Mechanism of action

Moisturizes and soothes the skin, reducing dryness and irritation.

Dosage

Adult, Elderly, Children and Infants over 1 month Dose (Topical):

  • Apply to the affected part two or three times daily
Administration
  • Use only on the skin
  • Do not use near the mouth, inner nose, eyes, genital area or on broken skin
Missed dose

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember; if almost time for next dose, skip it; do not double the dose.

Side effects

Common Side Effects:

  • Occasionally, allergic reactions or worsening of acne may occur
  • Occasionally, hypersensitivity reactions; otherwise adverse effects are unlikely
Precautions & warnings
  • For external use only
  • If rash develops, discontinue use
  • Do not smoke or go near naked flames; fabric that has been in contact with this product burns more easily
  • Do not apply to mucous membranes or broken skin
Contraindications
  • No specific contraindication
Drug interactions
  • The absorption of topical minoxidil can be increased by concurrent use of topical soft paraffin; this could potentiate the hypotensive effects of vasodilators

Overdose effects
