Recombinant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (rFSH) is used for ovarian follicle stimulation in women and spermatogenesis in men. It is used in infertility treatment to induce ovarian hyperstimulation and spermatogenesis.
Indications
- Ovarian follicle stimulation in women (superovulation)
- Spermatogenesis induction in men
- Infertility treatment (IVF, ICSI)
Dosage
Adult Dose (SC/IM):
- Female (superovulation): Start on cycle day 2-3, 75-300 IU/day, adjust dose based on hormonal response
- Male (spermatogenesis): 75-150 IU 2-3 times weekly for at least 3-6 months
- Dose individualization required; as directed by physician
