Cetalkonium Chloride + Choline Salicylate is a combination medicine used to treat mouth ulcers. It reduces pain, swelling, redness, and burning sensation of the ulcers and inhibits bacterial growth to promote rapid healing.
Indications
- Mouth Ulcer/Aphthous Ulcer/Canker Sore
- Cold Sore/Fever Blister
- Denture Sore
- Irritation from Braces
- Gum Swelling
- Sore spots due to orthodontic device
Dosage
Adult: Wash hands, apply ½ inch of gel on to the sore area. This can be repeated after every 3 hours.
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- No common side effects seen
Rare/Sensitive patients: Salicylates may produce bronchospasm and induce asthma attacks in susceptible patients.
Precautions & warnings
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Apply only on the affected areas of the mouth.
- Avoid contact with eyes; wash immediately with water if accidental exposure occurs.
- Do not use in excess amount and avoid swallowing.
- Inform your doctor if any allergic reaction occurs.
