Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while bisoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Bisoprolol selectively and competitively blocks β1-receptors but has little or no effect on β2-receptors except at high doses. Amlodipine relaxes peripheral and coronary vascular smooth muscle. It produces coronary vasodilation by inhibiting the entry of Ca ions into the slow channels or select voltage-sensitive channels of the vascular smooth muscle and myocardium during depolarisation. It also increases myocardial oxygen delivery in patients w/ vasospastic angina.

Adult Dose: Oral Adult 1 tablet once daily

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bisoprolol + Amlodipine may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Cardiogenic shock, overt cardiac failure, second or third degree AV block, and marked sinus bradycardia and known sensitivity to amlodipine/bisoprolol.
