Indications

Non-productive cough
Cold and nasal congestion
Sneezing and itching of nose or throat
Itchy, watery eyes

Dosage

Adults: 1 teaspoonful 4 times a day.
Children (>12 years): 1 teaspoonful 4 times a day.
Children (6-12 years): ½ teaspoonful 4 times a day.

Side effects

Rare: Drowsiness, excitability (especially in children). Prostatic enlargement could be an important predisposing factor.

Precautions & warnings

May cause drowsiness; do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol or other centrally acting sedatives. Caution in hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, elevated intraocular pressure, prostatic enlargement. Do not use for persistent or chronic cough.
