Dosage
Adult (21-day pack): Start on Day 1 of menstrual cycle. Take 1 tablet daily for 21 days, followed by 7 pill-free days. Start new pack on Day 8.
Adult (28-day pack): Start on Day 1, take 1 tablet daily without interruption.
Side effects
Common: Nausea, stomach pain, headache, irregular uterine bleeding, weight gain, breast pain.
Other: Diarrhea, fluid retention, migraine, depressed mood, decreased libido, rash.
Precautions & warnings
Risk of thromboembolism; caution in smoking, obesity, age >35; discontinue if signs of blood clot; caution in diabetes, hypertension, liver disease; monitor blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
