Olopatadine 0.1% Eye prep is an antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer used for allergic conjunctivitis. It blocks histamine H1 receptors to relieve eye itching, watering and redness.
Indications
- Allergic conjunctivitis (itchy, watery, red and swollen eyes)
Dosage
Adult Dose:
- 1 drop in conjunctival sac of affected eye(s) twice daily (6-8 hours apart)
Pediatric Dose (3 years+):
- 1 drop in conjunctival sac of affected eye(s) twice daily (6-8 hours apart)
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Eye pain
- Eye irritation
- Abnormal eye sensation
- Eye discomfort
Precautions & warnings
- Do not wear contact lenses if eye is red
- Not for treatment of contact lens related irritation
- Discontinue if allergic reaction occurs
- Use within 4 weeks of opening
- Caution while driving (may cause blurred vision)
