Sanflore 20 gm/ml is a shampoo manufactured by Opsonin Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Its active ingredient is Tea tree oil + Geothermal water (hair & body).

Indications

• This shampoo is indicated in-
• Dandruff
• Pityriasis versicolor
• Seborrhoeic dermatitis
• Wide spread of bodily fungal acne & bacterial disease.

Composition

Each ml shampoo contains Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf oil 20 gm.

Pharmacology

• Tea Tree Oil
• : Tea tree oil comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. Tea tree oil contains a number of compounds, including terpinen-4-ol that have been shown to kill certain bacteria, viruses and fungi.
• Geothermal Water
• : It is natural hot water and has skin healing benefits.

Dosage

Seborrheic Dermatitis: Apply in the hair thrice in a weekend wash properly after 5 minutes.

Bodily Fungal Infection (Eczema, Acne, Bedsores, aging): Apply in infected or lesion area once daily and wash after 5 minutes.

Administration

• Use a small amount of water to wet the scalp
• Apply the shampoo & massage gently until it forms a lather
• Leave the shampoo on the scalp for 5 minutes
• Rinse the shampoo with sufficient amount of water

Side Effects

Topical treatment with Tea Tree Oil (TTO) enriched with geothermal water is generally well tolerated. As with other shampoos, a local burning sensation, itching or contact dermatitis (due to irritation or allergy) may occur on exposed areas. Oily and dry hair have been reported rarely with the use of Tea Tree Oil (TTO) enriched with geothermal water.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Since Tea Tree Oil (TTO) enriched with geothermal water shampoo is not absorbed through the skin after topical application, pregnancy and lactation are not a contraindication for the use of Tea Tree Oil (TTO) enriched with geothermal water shampoo.
