Pharmacology

Avobenzone (Parsol 1789) provides superior protection through a large portion of the UV-A range, including UV-A I. Oxybenzone is a broad-spectrum absorber that absorbs UV-B and UV-A II rays effectively. Padimate O is the most potent UV-B absorber. Titanium dioxide is a physical sunscreen that is chemically inert, safe, and absorbs or reflects through the full UV spectrum.

This lotion is a non-greasy, water-resistant protective sunblock that helps prevent sunburn in all skin types. It provides SPF 6 against UVA rays and SPF 28 against UVB rays and maintains protection for up to 60 minutes in water.

Dosage

Apply evenly to skin 45 minutes before swimming or sweat-producing exercise. Reapply during prolonged sun exposure and after swimming or excessive sweating. A single application may provide day-long protection but reapplication is recommended as needed.

Side effects

Signs of irritation (including erythema, burning or rash) may appear when applied to sensitive or broken skin.
