Description
ব্রণ, হাইপারকেরাটোটিক এবং স্কেলিং ত্বকের অবস্থা টপিকাল/কিউটেনিয়াস ব্রণ প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতিদিন 1-3 বার আক্রান্ত স্থানে পাতলাভাবে প্রয়োগ করুন, যদি শুষ্কতা বা খোসা ছাড়িয়ে যায় তবে প্রতিদিন বা প্রতি অন্য দিনে একবারে কমিয়ে দিন। হাইপারকেরাটোটিক এবং স্কেলিং ত্বকের অবস্থা প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতিদিন 3-4 বার ত্বক এবং/অথবা মাথার ত্বকের প্রভাবিত এলাকায় প্রয়োগ করুন। অতি সংবেদনশীলতা। আঁচিল, জন্মের চিহ্ন এবং অস্বাভাবিক আঁচিলের সাথে/ বাড়ন্ত চুল বা মুখে আঁচিল ব্যবহার করুন। স্যালিসিলিক অ্যাসিডের একটি শক্তিশালী কেরাটোলাইটিক অ্যাকশন রয়েছে এবং টপিক্যালি প্রয়োগ করা হলে সামান্য অ্যান্টিসেপটিক অ্যাকশন রয়েছে। এটি অন্তঃসত্ত্বা হাইড্রেশন বৃদ্ধি করে স্ট্র্যাটাম কর্নিয়ামকে নরম করে এবং ধ্বংস করে যার ফলে ত্বকের শৃঙ্গাকার স্তরটি ফুলে যায়, নরম হয় এবং তারপর ক্ষয় হয়ে যায়। উচ্চ ঘনত্বে, স্যালিসিলিক অ্যাসিডের একটি কস্টিক প্রভাব রয়েছে। এটি দুর্বল অ্যান্টিফাঙ্গাল এবং অ্যান্টিব্যাকটেরিয়াল কার্যকলাপের অধিকারী। উচ্চ ঘনত্ব এবং শরীরের বড় এলাকায় দীর্ঘায়িত ব্যবহারের জন্য নয়। প্রতিবন্ধী পেরিফেরাল সঞ্চালন বা ডায়াবেটিস। ভাঙা ত্বক, মুখ, চোখ, শ্লেষ্মা ঝিল্লি এবং অ্যানোজেনিটাল অঞ্চল এড়িয়ে চলুন। জ্বালা, সংবেদনশীলতা, অত্যধিক শুষ্কতা; দীর্ঘায়িত ব্যবহারের পদ্ধতিগত প্রভাব। অন্যান্য সাময়িক ব্রণের প্রস্তুতির সাথে ত্বকের শুষ্কতা এবং জ্বালা হওয়ার ঝুঁকি বেড়ে যায়।
Indications
Acne, Hyperkeratotic and scaling skin conditions
Mechanism of action
Salicylic acid has a potent keratolytic action and a slight antiseptic action when applied topically. It softens and destroys the stratum corneum by increasing endogenous hydration which causes the horny layer of the skin to swell, soften, and then desquamate. At high concentrations, salicylic acid has a caustic effect. It also possesses weak antifungal and antibacterial activity.
Dosage
Adult Dose: Topical/Cutaneous Acne Adult: Apply thinly to affected area 1-3 times daily, reduce to once daily or every other day if dryness or peeling occur. Hyperkeratotic and scaling skin conditions Adult: Apply to affected area of the skin and/or scalp 3-4 times daily.
Side effects
Irritation, sensitivity, excessive drying; systemic effects on prolonged use.
Precautions & warnings
Not for prolonged use in high concentrations and on large areas of the body. Impaired peripheral circulation or diabetes. Avoid broken skin, mouth, eyes, mucous membranes and anogenital region.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Use on moles, birthmarks and unusual warts w/ growing hair or warts on the face.
Drug interactions
Increased risk of skin dryness and irritation w/ other topical acne preparations.
