Dr. Asraful Hoque Sium

Dr. Asraful Hoque Sium, MBBS, MS (Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery), FACS (USA), MRCS (Glasgow), is a distinguished cardiac surgeon and pioneer in minimally invasive cardiac surgery in Bangladesh. He earned his MBBS from Bangladesh Medical College in 2005, followed by an MS in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in 2015. 

Dr. Asraful Hoque Sium has made history in Bangladesh by leading the country's first minimally invasive cardiac surgeries (MICS), including the first ever double-valve replacement (DVR) via MICS in 2021 and pioneering total laparoscopic coronary artery bypass (CABG) procedures. 

 His work has earned him significant recognition, including being awarded by the Prime Minister for his outstanding contribution and being called the “youngest cardiac surgeon” in Bangladesh. 

His expertise spans advanced coronary, valve, and congenital heart surgeries with access to the latest techniques and technologies, and his ongoing commitment to excellence places him among the top cardiac surgeons in the country.
