Dr. Biswajit Bhattacharjee

Dr. Biswajit Bhattacharjee is an MBBS and MPhil (Radiotherapy) qualified Radiation Oncologist with more than 22 years of experience in Radiation and Clinical Oncology. He currently serves as Senior Consultant and Coordinator, Department of Radiation Oncology at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. He graduated from Mymensingh Medical College under the University of Dhaka in 1994 and completed his MPhil in Radiotherapy from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2004. He received oncology training as a Clinical Fellow at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS), India, and completed advanced training in Radiation Oncology at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, NHS, London, UK, and Princess Margaret Hospital, University Health Network, Toronto, Canada. He pioneered the introduction of modern radiation treatment techniques, including 3D-CRT, IMRT, and IGRT, in 2007. His areas of expertise include 2D and 3D conformal radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, Arc/VMAT therapy, SRS, SRT, SBRT, respiratory motion management, HDR brachytherapy, electron therapy, total body irradiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and MRI- and PET-based radiotherapy planning. Before joining Evercare Hospital Dhaka, he served as Professor of Radiation Oncology at North East Medical College and Hospital, Sylhet. He has published research in several medical journals and is trained in pain and palliative care for terminally ill cancer patients.
