Dr. Deepankar Kumar Basak graduated from Dhaka Medical College. After completing his internship at DMCH, he joined there as a medical officer to pursue his post-graduation in internal medicine. He got extensive training in internal medicine for 3 years at DMCH. He was also trained in chest medicine at NIDCH and Gastroenterology at DMCH. Dr. Deepankar obtained his FCPS in Internal Medicine from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).
He joined the Emergency Department of Square Hospital and worked there for more than 7 years under the supervision of some internationally renowned emergency medicine specialists from CMC Hospital Vellore, India. Later, he also worked in the Department of Gastroenterology and now he is a Consultant of the Internal Medicine Department.
Dr. Deepankar Kumar Basak has gathered huge experience in managing Internal medicine, Emergency, and Gastroenterology related patients both in IPD and OPD. He is an expert hand in Endoscopy & Colonoscopy too. He has actively joined many seminars and symposiums at home and abroad and presented papers. He has published a number of articles in national and international medical journals and is appreciated by physicians. He is a lifetime member of the Bangladesh Society of Medicine (BSM) & Bangladesh Gastroenterology Society (BGS).
