Dr. Fatema Salam graduated from Mymensingh Medical College in 1990.  After her internship, she was trained at Dhaka Shishu Hospital in Pediatrics. She obtained a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) degree from the Bangladesh Institute of Child Health (BICH) under Dhaka University in 1995. She achieved FCPS in Neonatology from the Bangladesh College of Physician Surgeons (BCPS) in 2012.

Dr. Fatema Salam has vast experience in both fields of pediatrics and Neonatology. She served under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh, and also gained experience working in Pediatrics under the Ministry of Health, KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). She served in the Institute of Child and Mother Health (ICMH) and in the Neonatal ICU of a private hospital. Currently, she is working as a Consultant (NICU) at Square Hospital.
