Dr. Isma Azam Zico is a Consultant Neurosurgeon with extensive experience in minimal invasive, cranial, spinal, and skull base surgery, he served as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College Hospital, obtained his MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and earned his MS in Neurosurgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. He began his career as an Assistant Surgeon at Kazipur Union Centre before progressing through surgical training in general surgery and orthopaedics at Sir Salimullah Medical College. He then specialised in neurosurgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, advancing from Registrar to his current role as Assistant Professor. Dr. Zico has pursued extensive subspecialty training through numerous international live and cadaveric workshops in skull base surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, endovascular neurosurgery, deep brain stimulation, hydrocephalus endoscopy, and paediatric neurosurgery, working alongside internationally renowned faculty including Juha Hernesniemi, Atul Goel, Tipu Aziz, and W. T. Couldwell, among others. He has extensive neurosurgical experience, having successfully performed over 5,000 surgeries.
