Dr. Md. Taiyabur Rahman

Dr. Md. Tayabur Rahman is a seasoned Psychiatrist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with formal training and expertise in mental health care. He earned his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College, followed by BCS (Health) and an MD in Psychiatry from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). Dr. Rahman currently serves as a Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health & Hospital, where he provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment.

With a patient‑centered approach, Dr. Rahman treats a wide spectrum of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders across age groups. His clinical focus includes management of anxiety and stress‑related conditions, mood disorders, obsessive‑compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, adolescent psychiatry, relationship and marital counseling, de‑addiction support, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Rahman is also recognized for his work in neuropsychiatry, psychosexual health, and stress management, and has been involved in academic and community mental health initiatives that aim to destigmatize psychiatric care.
