He served in the Government service and successfully worked at Chittagong Medical College, BSMMU, and NIDCH.
He obtained FCPS in General Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) and MS in Thoracic Surgery from NIDCH. He acquired FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) from USA and Fellowship on Laparoscopy & Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) from India. He attained training on Advanced Laparoscopy and Colorectal Surgery from India and China. He has a number of publications in national and international journals. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Yasin Chowdhury is a competent Surgeon in the field of General, Laparoscopy, Hernia, Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Breast and Cancer Surgeries. He also has expertise in Minimal Access Surgery. He is a life member of SOSB, SELSB, BCPS, BMA, and Hernia Society of Bangladesh.
 Dr. Chowdhury actively contributes to the surgical community through education, training and clinical research. He is now working as a full-time Senior Consultant in the Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Square Hospital.
