Dr. Nargis Fatema graduated from Sir Salimullah Medical College. After completing internship she dedicated her at the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of BIRDEM. Later, she accomplished the fellowship FCPS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2000 and later obtained MS (ObsGyn) from BSMMU.
Dr. Nargis Fatema joined in government services under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and worked in Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital. She received advanced training in Laparoscopic Surgery from BIRDEM and performed as a faculty member of MOET training course. She participated and presented papers in a number of national and international workshops, seminars, and symposiums and was awarded for her research paper in SAFOG conference and EASD conference at Italy. Her approach towards the patients is very holistic which includes not just understanding the disease but also the feelings and emotional state of the patient and her family. Her 24 years of experience is enriched with knowledge, decision making capacity, operative skills and care giving attitude. She has special interest in high risk pregnancy and laparoscopic surgery. She is working as a full time consultant at Square Hospital from 2007.
