Dr. Sharmin Rozhana

Dr. Sharmin Rozhana is a Consultant in Microbiology and Head of Infection Control and Prevention in Lab Medicine at Evercare Hospital Chattogram. She earned her MBBS from the University of Rajshahi (Rangpur Medical College) in 2005 and MPhil in Virology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka in 2013, and is a registered specialist virologist since 2015. She serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at AIMST University, Malaysia, where she teaches medical, dental, and physiotherapy students and supervises postgraduate research in molecular biology. She previously served as Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Nightingale Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka, and Lecturer at Marks Dental College. Her research includes studies on HIV seropositive patients, breast cancer biomarkers, and central nervous system infections, with technical expertise in PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and microbial culture methods. She is an active member of the International Society for Infectious Diseases and Bangladesh Medical Association.
