Dr. Shoaib Ahmad earned his bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery in 1980 from Chittagong Medical College. He has over 47 years of experience. For most of his professional career, he practised as a general physician in several countries across the globe, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. In Bangladesh, he trained in Internal Medicine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur University (BSMMU) and in Pediatrics at Dhaka Shishu Hospital. He qualified PLAB from GMC (UK) and obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the State University of Bangladesh. He got his post-graduate diploma in Family Medicine (FMD) from the University of Science & Technology Chittagong. Since 2005. Dr. Shoaib also did certificate courses on diabetes (CCD) from BIRDEM and cardiology (CCCD) from the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute. He has worked as an administrator and physician in many renowned private hospitals in Dhaka such as Central Hospital, United Hospital, Green Life Medical College and Hospital, CARE Specialized Hospital, and BRB Hospital. Before joining Praava Health, Dr. Shoaib served as the hospital director and family medicine consultant in HOPE Hospital, under the HOPE foundation for women and children, Cox's Bazar.
