Dr. Siyam Al Islam, MBBS, MS (Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery), FCPS (Cardiovascular Surgery) is an accomplished heart and chest surgeon with fellowship training in Pediatric & Congenital Cardiac Surgery — a qualification that equips him to treat both adult heart disease and complex congenital heart defects in children.

He is the only pediatric & congenital cardiac surgeon in Bangladesh who achieved both MS and FCPS degrees in cardiovascular surgery. 

He currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dhaka — the country’s leading government cardiac center — combining academic and surgical responsibilities.
