Dr. Spina Luna Biswas graduated (BDS) from Dhaka Dental College in 2004; worked there as a Medical Officer thereafter and from 2005 started her dentistry practice in National Dental Care, Dhaka. She attained her FCPS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2012. After completion of her FCPS, Dr Luna joined Sapporo Dental College & Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka and is serving there as an Associate Professor. During her professional period, she took special training on Implant Dentistry, Facial Deformity and Oral Reconstruction Surgery from South Korea, Japan & Sri Lanka respectively. As a knowledgeable and skillful Oral Surgeon Dr Luna is adept in performing surgery on mouth, jaws and related head and neck structures, to execute difficult and multiple extractions of teeth, to remove tumors and other abnormal growths, to correct abnormal jaw relations by mandibular or maxillary revision surgery, to prepare mouth for insertion of dental prosthesis, or to treat fractured jaws. In addition to performing minor cosmetic procedures such as chin and cheek-bone enhancements and minor facial rejuvenation procedures Dr Luna provides emergency treatment of facial injuries including intra-oral or facial lacerations and fractured facial bones. She is skilled in removal of tumors and other abnormal growth of the oral and facial regions including wide excision of malignant tumors with neck dissection and next level reconstruction of jaws and face by moving skin, bone, nerves and other tissues from other parts of the body. She further has keen interest in Dredging Method which is a conservative surgical procedure for odontogenic tumors. She is also highly experienced in cleft lip and palate repair surgery and other cosmetology & orofacial aesthetic surgery, crown and bridgework of teeth, cosmetic dentistry and dental implant.
