Dr. Tahera Nazrin

Dr. Tahera Nazrin is the Founder of the Paediatric Cardiology Department at Evercare Hospitals Bangladesh, having started the department at Evercare Hospital Dhaka in 2016 and Evercare Hospital Chattogram in 2021. She is the Coordinator and Senior Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology. She completed her Fellowship in Clinical and Interventional Paediatric Cardiology from Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, Bangalore, Rabindranath Tagore Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata, and Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Howrah and Jaipur, India, as well as from the National University Hospital, Singapore. She is an expert in interventional procedures including device closure of congenital heart defects (ASD, VSD, PDA), coil embolisation of MAPCAs, temporary pacemaker implantation, balloon pulmonary and aortic valvuloplasty, coarctoplasty, and balloon atrial septostomy. She is highly skilled in 2D, 3D, and colour Doppler echocardiography (TTE, TEE, and fetal) and is a pioneer of MISC patient management in Bangladesh during the COVID pandemic. She introduced low-cost packages with free devices and balloons for underprivileged children. She previously served as Paediatric Cardiologist at IBN Sina Cardiac Center and Assistant Professor at Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute.
