Dr. Umme Mezbah Akter

Dr. Umme Mezbah Akter is a Specialist in Transfusion Medicine at the Blood Bank of Evercare Hospital Chattogram. She completed her MBBS from Medical College for Women and Hospital in 2007 and her MD in Transfusion Medicine from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2022. She is skilled in transfusion-related procedures, blood component preparation, serological testing, blood donor management, and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, including for diabetic foot disease and bed sores. She is proficient in therapeutic plasma exchange and peripheral blood stem cell collection. Before joining Evercare, she served as Assistant Professor in Transfusion Medicine at Khulna City Medical College Hospital. She has completed hands-on training in phlebotomy at Queens Hospital, Romford, UK, and holds certifications in Diabetology, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from BIRDEM General Hospital.
