She is the former Director and Head of the PET-CT Division at the National Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (NINMAS), under the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). She now serves as a Senior Consultant at Continental Hospital, delivering cutting-edge care to thyroid oncology patients Dr. Fatima Begum holds MBBS, DNM, and MPhil in Nuclear Medicine from the University of Dhaka and a PhD from BUET, where she focused her research on thyroid cancer. She also conducted postgraduate research on hyperthyroidism in Australia and received advanced clinical training in Germany, Vienna, South Korea, Liverpool, Japan, and the United States Her unparalleled expertise in managing complex cancer cases is supported by her role on tumor boards at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) and NINMAS.
