Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Bakar passed MBBS from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and completed FCPS degree in Internal Medicine from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). Dr. Md. Abu Bakar performed as Consultant, Medicine in Faridpur General Hospital.  Later, he joined in Khulna Medical College as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and worked there in different capacities for 19 years. He served as Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine and was also the Vice Principal & Principal of Khulna Medical College. Prof. Abu Bakar received fellowship FACP from American College of Physicians, USA. He also obtained FRCP from Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK.  

He encompasses more than 35 years of experience in medicine field. He has 41 scientific publications in national & international journals.
