Prof. Dr. Samia Mubin

Prof. Samia Mubin, graduated from Dhaka Medical College in Jan 2003. She then passed FCPS (Surgery) in the shortest possible time in 2007 with distinction. For her brilliant performance in FCPS, she was awarded with “Dr. Sheikh Humayun Kabir Gold Medal” from BCPS. She left govt job in 2009 and joined Department of General Surgery, BSSMU, where she is currently working as a Professor. She is very active in academic activities and currently is the course coordinator of residency programme in Department of Surgery, BSMMU. Prof. Samia has keen interest in cancer surgery, especially breast cancer surgery. She trained herself in UK and attended numerous conferences around the world. She is founder member of Association of Breast Surgeons of Bangladesh & Asian Society of Mastology & also member of Association of Breast Surgeon in India. Besides this she is Executive Member of Society of Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh. She is also involved in humanitarian activities such as cancer awareness programs and medical camps.
