Prof. Dr. S. M. Anwar Sadat passed BDS from Chittagong Medical College in 1997, MCPS  in 2003; FCPS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery FIRST TIME in Bangladesh in 2005. He did MS from Dhaka University and MPH from North South University. 

Prof. Sadat was awarded FDSRCPS from Glasgow and FDSRCS from Royal College of England for his excellent academic, research and clinical contribution to dentistry in Bangladesh.

He got advanced training in oral cancer surgery and reconstruction from Peradenya University, Sri Lanka as JICA Fellow (Japan); Dental Implant from Boston, USA; Aesthetic Jaw Surgery from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand; Cancer and Trauma Reconstruction from Peking University, China. He presented 180 papers and published 95 scientific articles in reputed national and international journals.

He had been serving patients of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery for the last 29 years in different Govt and private hospitals. Along with extraction of teeth, scaling, polishing, filling, root canal treatment, crown bridge prosthesis, he has special interest on treating jaw tumor, cyst, oral cancer, oral ulcer, facial trauma, joint disorder, gland disorder and missing tooth replacement by DENTAL IMPLANT.

Prof. Sadat was founder Member Secretary, Faculty of Dentistry, BCPS and Secretary General of BAMOS (2023-25). He is editor of BCPS Journal, BMRC Bulletin, advisor of Update Dental College Journal. He is the chief editor of “Dental Practice Journal” and “Journal of Bangladesh Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (JBAMOS)”. As a founder president, he runs the charitable organization “Oral Cancer Care and Research”. 

At present he is Professor and Head of Unit 2 in the Dept of OMS, Dhaka Dental College in the morning and Senior Consultant at Square Hospitals Ltd, Dhaka in the evening.
