Prof. Dr. B. K. Das (Bijoy)

Areas of expertise Prof. Dr. Bijoy Krishna Das, popularly known as Dr. B. K. Das, completed his MBBS in 1987 from Chittagong Medical College, one of the topmost medical colleges of Bangladesh. Later he joined the MS (Paediatric Surgery) course at the former IPGM&R (now Bangladesh Medical University) under the University of Dhaka and completed the course in 2004. He also passed MCPS (Surgery) in 2000. He achieved FICS in 2012 and FACS in 2022. He is an internationally credentialed plastic surgeon of Operation Smile and did many cleft surgeries through cleft surgery camps at home and abroad. Dr. Das joined a government job through the 8th BCS in 1989 and worked at different capacities in government hospitals. He worked as a junior consultant in the Casualty department at Chittagong Medical College. He left the govt. job in 2005 and joined as an Assistant Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College, Dhaka, Associate Professor and Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Z H Sikder Women’s Medical College, and Professor of Paediatric Surgery at CARE Medical College. He served as a visiting consultant for Paediatric Surgery in Evercare (Apollo) Hospital, Dhaka in 2014, and is now a senior consultant. He received advanced training in plastic surgery from India and USA. He is also trained in LASER surgery and Vascular Anomaly from the USA. He attended many conferences and workshops at home and abroad and presented many papers. He had numerous research and publications published in renowned national and international journals. Dr. B. K. Das is a highly efficient Paediatric General and Reconstructive Surgeon.
