Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Karim

Considered one of the best Paediatric surgeons of his generation. Obtained his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College, where he received extensive training as a Registrar with a wide exposure to multiple-disciplines of surgery. He was recruited as a resident surgeon by the Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he had the opportunity to work in King Fahad Hospital at Al-Baha. He became a Professor of Paediatric Surgery and Paediatric Urology at the Bangladesh Institute of Child Health and Dhaka Shishu Hospital. He also headed the department of Paediatric Surgery in these institutions.
