Pharmacology

Inhibits fungal enzymes D14 reductase and D7-D8 isomerase, depleting ergosterol and disrupting cell membrane.

Mechanism of action

Interferes with fungal sterol synthesis pathway, leading to fungal cell lysis.

Dosage

Applied to affected skin areas once daily in the evening after cleansing for 2-3 weeks, or up to 6 weeks for foot mycoses.

Administration

Topical application only. Avoid contact with eyes, ears, and mucous membranes.

Missed dose

Apply as soon as remembered.

Side effects

Adverse skin reactions are rare and mostly mild.
