Femoguard 40mg Capsule contains standardized Black Cohosh extract 40mg. It contains triterpene glycosides (such as actein and cimicifugoside) as active components. It affects the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, regulating luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion and acts through serotonergic pathways to improve mood and sleep.
Mechanism of action
Black Cohosh affects the hypothalamic-pituitary axis to control menopausal symptoms. It reduces LH secretion and interacts with serotonin receptors to improve mood and sleep. The triterpene glycosides present provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions that help relieve pain in dysmenorrhea and PMS.
Dosage
Take 1 capsule 2-3 times daily or as directed by the physician. Duration of treatment should be maximum six months at a time.

Missed dose
