Cetrimide 0.5% + Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride 0.1% is an antiseptic combination used for insect bites, sunburn, disinfection, cuts, scratches, blisters, grazes, nappy rash, cracked and itchy skin, and cleansing and irrigating dirty wounds. Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium antiseptic with bactericidal activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Chlorhexidine is an antimicrobial agent active against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive vegetative bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi, and lipophilic viruses. This medicine is for external use only and should not be used in the eye, ear, mucous membrane, or body cavities.

Pharmacology
Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium antiseptic; it has bactericidal activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Chlorhexidine is an antimicrobial agent; it is active against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive vegetative bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi and lipophilic viruses.

Dosage
