Description
Diosmin and Hesperidin is a phlebotonic drug and a vascular protecting agent. It reinforces venous tone by prolonging the activity of parietal noradrenaline. It protects the microcirculation by decreasing leukocyte activation and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators. It improves lymphatic drainage by increasing lymph flow and lymph oncotic pressure.

Pharmacology
Diosmin and Hesperidin is a phlebotonic drug and a vascular protecting agent. It reinforces venous tone by prolonging the activity of parietal noradrenaline. It protects the microcirculation by decreasing leukocyte activation and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, and normalizes capillary permeability.
Mechanism of action
Diosmin + Hesperidin strengthens venous tone, normalizes capillary permeability, and improves lymphatic drainage to relieve symptoms of varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
Dosage
Acute hemorrhoids: First 4 days: 3 tablets daily (450/50 mg) OR 1 tablet TDS (900/100 mg); next 3 days: 2 tablets daily; then maintenance: 1 tablet daily.
Chronic hemorrhoids/Venous insufficiency: 1 tablet twice daily (450/50) OR 1 tablet daily (900/100) for 2-6 months.
Administration
Take at meal times. Swallow the tablet whole, do not chew, crush or break.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose of Diosmin + Hesperidin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose.
Side effects
Common: Diarrhea, dizziness, hives, itching, nausea, erythema, stomach pain, gastric disorders, neurovegetative disorders (feeling of discomfort).
Precautions & warnings
Does not usually affect driving ability (caution if dizziness occurs). If hemorrhoidal symptoms do not disappear within 15 days, consult a doctor. Caution in patients with a history of cancer (no specific studies).
