Halometasone

Introduction: Halometasone is a topical steroid used to treat allergic and inflammatory skin conditions. It works by preventing the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation, providing relief from swelling, redness, and itching in the affected area.

How it works: Halometasone is a topical corticosteroid with glucocorticoid activity. It exhibits anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects by inhibiting the release of various cytokines.

Important Information: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times daily. Do not use longer than 2 weeks. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth.

Adult Dose:

• 0.05% cream or ointment: Apply on affected areas
• Apply 2-3 times daily
• Do not use longer than 2 weeks

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area and apply a thin layer of the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth.

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular schedule.

Common Side Effects:

• Erythema (skin redness)
• Burning
• Itching

Precautions:

• Don't use it more often or for longer than advised
• Don't cover the area with occlusive dressings (may increase risk of side effects)
• If infection occurs, stop using and consult doctor
• Consult doctor if no improvement after 2 weeks
• Inform doctor if mood changes or stomach problems occur
• Do not stop suddenly (may worsen symptoms)

• Rosaceae
• Leg ulcers
• Long-term topical treatment in children
