Description
Neomycin binds to 30S ribosomal subunit to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. Polymyxin B causes leakage of bacterial membrane to produce bactericidal effect. Pramoxine provides local anesthetic effect.

Pharmacology
Neomycin binds to 30S ribosomal subunit to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. Polymyxin B interacts with phospholipid components of bacterial membrane to produce bactericidal effect. Pramoxine provides local anesthetic effect.
Mechanism of action
Prevents infection by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and provides local pain relief.
Dosage
Adult Dose (Topical):
- Apply to affected area 1-3 times daily
- Amount equal to surface area of fingertip
Pediatric Dose (2 years+): Apply 1-3 times daily
Administration
- For external use only
- Clean affected area before application
- May be covered with sterile bandage
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember; skip if it's almost time for next dose; do not double the dose.

Precautions & warnings
- Possibility of ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity and exogenous hyperadrenocorticism if used in large quantities or on large areas for prolonged use
- Do not use in external eardrum if tympanic membrane is perforated
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides and any components
- Pre-existing nerve deafness
- TB, fungal or viral infections
