Description
পেরিফেরাল নিউরোপ্যাথি, ভিটামিন বি 6 এর অভাব খাবার গ্রহণ করা উচিত। সাধারণত খাবারের সাথে নেওয়া হয়। ভিটামিন B6 এর অভাবের মৌখিক প্রফিল্যাক্সিস প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: 2.5-10 mg/d. গর্ভাবস্থায় বমি বমি ভাব 75 mg PO qD অতি সংবেদনশীলতা। লেভোডোপা গ্রহণকারী রোগীরা। পাইরিডক্সিন একটি জল-দ্রবণীয় ভিটামিন যা কার্বোহাইড্রেট, প্রোটিন এবং চর্বি বিপাকের কাজ করে। এটি CNS-এর মধ্যে Hb গঠন এবং GABA সংশ্লেষণে অপরিহার্য। এটি লিভার এবং পেশীতে সঞ্চিত গ্লাইকোজেন মুক্তিতেও সহায়তা করে। Levodopa সঙ্গে ড্রাগ মিথস্ক্রিয়া। গুরুতর পেরিফেরাল নিউরোপ্যাথি (বড় ডোজের দীর্ঘমেয়াদী অ্যাডমিন সহ)। অস্থির চলাফেরা, পেরেস্থেসিয়াস, সংবেদন হ্রাস, ফলিক অ্যাসিড হ্রাস আইসোনিয়াজিড, পেনিসিলামিন এবং মৌখিক গর্ভনিরোধকগুলির ফলে পাইরিডক্সিনের ডোজ বেশি প্রয়োজন হতে পারে। লেভোডোপা, ফেনোবারবিটোন, অ্যালট্রেটামিন এবং ফেনিটোইনের প্রভাব হ্রাস করে।

Mechanism of action
Pyridoxine is a water-soluble vitamin which functions in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. It is essential in Hb formation and GABA synthesis within the CNS. It also aids in the release of glycogen stored in the liver and muscles.
Dosage
Adult Dose: Oral Prophylaxis of vitamin B6 deficiency states Adult: 2.5-10 mg/d. Nausea in Pregnancy 75 mg PO qD
Administration
Should be taken with food. Preferably taken w/ meals.
Side effects
Severe peripheral neuropathies (with long-term admin of large doses). Unstable gait, Paresthesias, Decrease sensation, Decreased folic acid
Precautions & warnings
Drug interaction with Levodopa.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients receiving levodopa.
Drug interactions
Isoniazid, penicillamine and oral contraceptives may result in greater requirement in pyridoxine dose. Reduces the effects of levodopa, phenobarbitone, altretamine and phenytoin.
