Description
Sodium Cromoglycate inhibits mast cell degranulation, suppressing the release of histamine, leukotrienes, and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis. Xylometazoline Hydrochloride is a direct-acting sympathomimetic that produces vasoconstriction, reducing swelling and congestion when applied to mucous membranes.

- Allergic rhinitis (hay fever and perennial rhinitis) with nasal congestion

Pharmacology
Sodium Cromoglycate prevents the release of type-1 allergic reaction mediators (histamine, SRS-A) from sensitized mast cells after antigen-antibody union. Xylometazoline stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors, constricting nasal mucosal blood vessels, reducing swelling and congestion, and making breathing easier.

Dosage
Adults (including elderly) and Children:
- One spray each nostril four times daily
Administration
- For nasal use only
- Shake well before each use
- Use as directed
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember; if almost time for the next dose, skip it; do not double the dose.

- Occasional irritation of nasal mucosa on the first day of use
- Rare cases: wheezing and chest tightness (with sodium cromoglycate)

- Prolonged use or abuse of decongestants may lead to rebound congestion or drug-induced rhinitis
- Caution during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
Drug interactions
- Xylometazoline: Increased heart rate or BP with sibutramine; Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs (potentially fatal)
