Indications
- Allergic rhinitis (hay fever and perennial rhinitis) with nasal congestion
Dosage
Adults (including elderly) and Children:
- One spray each nostril four times daily
Side effects
Side Effects:
- No serious side effects reported
- Occasional irritation of nasal mucosa on the first day of use
- Rare cases: wheezing and chest tightness (with sodium cromoglycate)
- Nasal irritation, dryness, sneezing, headache, insomnia, drowsiness, palpitations (low dose xylometazoline)
Precautions & warnings
- Prolonged use or abuse of decongestants may lead to rebound congestion or drug-induced rhinitis
- Caution during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester
