Description
Sofosbuvir is an HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase inhibitor essential for viral replication. Daclatasvir is an NS5A inhibitor that blocks HCV viral RNA replication and protein translation. This dual action suppresses HCV replication and helps cure the infection.

Pharmacology
Sofosbuvir is converted intracellularly to the active metabolite GS-461203, which inhibits HCV NS5B polymerase and terminates viral RNA chains. Daclatasvir inhibits HCV NS5A protein to prevent viral RNA replication and protein translation. This combination blocks multiple stages of the HCV replication cycle.
Mechanism of action
Suppresses HCV by inhibiting NS5B and NS5A proteins required for viral replication.
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- Sofosbuvir 400 mg + Daclatasvir (dose determined by doctor) once daily
- Can be taken with or without food
- Treatment duration depends on viral genotype and patient condition
Administration
- Take orally with or without food
- Swallow tablet whole; do not chew, crush, or break
- Take at the same time each day
- Do not stop without your doctor's advice
Missed dose
