Description
Strontium Renalate works by reducing bone resorption and stimulating bone formation. It increases osteoblast activity and decreases osteoclast activity, resulting in increased bone mineral density and reduced fracture risk.

Pharmacology
Strontium Renalate reduces bone resorption and stimulates bone formation. It increases osteoblast proliferation and collagen synthesis while decreasing osteoclast differentiation and activity. This results in increased bone mineral density and reduced fracture risk.
Mechanism of action
Reduces bone breakdown and stimulates bone rebuilding.
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- Recommended: 2 g (1 sachet) once daily
- Take with food (at the evening meal or at bedtime)
- Mix the powder in a glass of water or milk and drink immediately
Administration

- Take at the same time each day
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take the next dose at the scheduled time; do not double the dose.

Precautions & warnings
- Do not use in severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min)
- Risk of venous thromboembolism (caution if any risk factors)

- Does not usually affect driving ability

Drug interactions
- Tetracyclines, quinolone antibiotics: Reduced absorption; maintain 2-hour interval
