Pharmacology

Undenatured Collagen II is derived from chicken sternum cartilage preserving the triple helix. Boswellic acid from Boswellia serrata inhibits 5-LOX. Hyaluronic acid binds water, providing lubrication and shock absorption. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and aids collagen formation.

Mechanism of action

Collagen II acts as an antigen, stimulating anti-inflammatory cytokine production. Undenatured collagen II epitopes trigger oral tolerization, releasing collagen-specific regulatory T-cells. Boswellic acid inhibits 5-LOX. Hyaluronic acid binds CD-44 receptor. Vitamin C increases proline hydroxylation and procollagen synthesis.
