Levosalbutamol is a fast-acting bronchodilator or reliever used to relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD such as coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
Indications
- Asthma
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Dosage
Oral (Adult): 1-2 mg, three times daily
Inhaler: 1-2 puffs as required
Nebuliser (Adult): 0.63 mg, 3-4 times daily (every 6-8 hours); severe asthma: 1.25 mg three times daily
Children (6-11 years): 5 mL (1 mg), three times daily
Children (2-5 years): Up to 0.1 mg/kg (max 1 mg), three times daily

Common Side Effects:
- Throat pain
- Nasal congestion
- Dizziness
- Vomiting
Precautions & warnings
- If you need to use more than 3 times a week, inform your doctor (asthma is not well controlled)
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease
- Caution when driving or activities requiring concentration (may cause dizziness or tremor)
- Avoid alcohol
