Mahadrakkharist is a classical polyherbal ayurvedic preparation used for COPD and asthma.
Indications
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Asthma - both allergic and cardiac asthma
- Pulmonary fibrosis
- Pulmonary tuberculosis
Dosage
Adults and above 12 years:
- 3-4 teaspoonfuls (15-20 ml) twice daily after meal
- For 4-8 weeks or as directed by the physician
Children under 12 years:
- 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5-10 ml) twice daily after meal
* Use as directed by the registered physician
Side effects
Side Effects:
- There are no side effects associated with the use in therapeutic doses
- In very rare cases, stomach pain, headache and allergic reaction may occur
Precautions & warnings
Precautions:
- Caution in hypertension, liver disease, alcohol dependence and diabetes
- Caution with anticoagulants (warfarin, aspirin), NSAIDs, ACE inhibitors and antiplatelet agents
- Probiotics should be taken 2 or more hours apart
