Betaxolol 0.5% Eye prep is a medicine used to treat elevated intraocular pressure (high pressure inside the eye) in people with ocular hypertension and certain types of glaucoma. It lowers the pressure in the eye by decreasing the production of fluid and reduces the risk of vision loss.

Dosage

Adult: Instill 1 drop of 0.5% solution twice daily.
Child: Dose not specified, consult your doctor.

Eye discomfort, Headache, Watery eyes, Blurred vision.

Precautions & warnings

Betaxolol may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Inform your doctor if you have lung or heart diseases. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute after instillation. Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 minutes. Use within 4 weeks of opening.
