Carbonyl Iron + Folic Acid + Vitamin B Complex + Vitamin C + Zinc is a combination capsule used to supplement deficiencies of iron, folic acid, zinc, vitamin B, and vitamin C during pregnancy and lactation. It helps prevent anemia, supports fetal neural development, and strengthens the immune system.

Indications
  • Iron, folic acid, zinc, vitamin B, and vitamin C deficiency during pregnancy
  • Iron, folic acid, zinc, vitamin B, and vitamin C deficiency during lactation
  • Iron deficiency anemia
  • Megaloblastic anemia due to folic acid deficiency
Dosage

Adults: One capsule daily before food. In more severe cases, 2 capsules a day may be required, or as directed by the physician.

Children & Adolescents: May be used upon consultation with a doctor.

Note: For maximum absorption, take on an empty stomach; may take with or after meals to minimize GI irritation.

Side effects

Common side effects: Nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea (from oral iron preparations).

Allergic reactions: Allergic sensitization may occur rarely.

Oral iron preparations may cause constipation, particularly in older patients.

Precautions & warnings
  • Caution in patients who may develop iron overload (hemochromatosis, hemolytic anemia, red cell aplasia).
  • Iron chelates with tetracycline, impairing absorption; maintain at least 2-3 hours gap.
  • Antacids decrease iron absorption; maintain at least 2 hours gap.
  • Avoid use during the first trimester of pregnancy if possible; use during second and third trimesters under medical supervision.
  • Present in breast milk; use with caution during lactation.
