Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):

Renal Dose: CrCl 15-40 ml/min: 100-200 mg/day; CrCl <15 ml/min: Avoid use.
Hepatic Dose: Low doses are recommended in patients with liver problems.
Side effects
Common Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):
- Dizziness or light headedness
- Weakness
- Fainting especially when standing up from a lying position
- Skin rashes
- Excessive itching
- Nausea
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
Serious Side Effects: Allergic reaction (rash, swallowing or breathing problems, swelling of face/lips/throat/tongue), flu-like symptoms, swollen or painful joints, increased sensitivity to sunlight, hair loss, abdominal pain, anaemia (may indicate Systemic Lupus Erythematosus).
Precautions & warnings
- [UNSAFE] Celiprolol Hydrochloride may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. You may feel dizzy or tired, have problems seeing, shaking or headaches whilst taking it.
- It may cause dizziness. If this happens, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
- It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you are diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
- Do not stop taking Celiprolol Hydrochloride suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly, thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
- Consult your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, Prinzmetal's angina, Raynaud's disease, psoriasis, asthma, thyroid problems, diabetes, or controlled heart failure.
