Dosage
Adults: 15-30 mL before breakfast or at bedtime
Children (over 7 years): 7.5-15 mL at bedtime
Children (3-7 years): 5-10 mL at bedtime
May be mixed with milk or half a glass of water if desired.
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Rectal irritation
- Potassium loss (thirst, weakness, nausea, diarrhea)
Precautions & warnings
- Caution in renal and hepatic impairment
- Maintain adequate fluid intake
- Do not use in acute GI conditions
