Indications
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Dosage
Adult Dose: Starting dose: empagliflozin 5 mg + metformin 500 mg once daily. Gradually increase to maximum empagliflozin 25 mg + metformin 2000 mg/day.
Renal Dose: eGFR <45 mL/min/1.73 m²: Contraindicated.

Precautions & warnings
- Empagliflozin + Metformin Hydrochloride is used alone or with other diabetes medicines to control blood sugar.
- It may cause loss of too much fluid (dehydration) or frequent urination. Drink plenty of water.
- May cause hypoglycemia when used with other antidiabetic medicines.
- Can cause genital fungal and/or urinary tract infections; practice good hygiene.
- Monitor blood sugar regularly.
- Inform doctor if you experience constant dizziness, joint pain or unexplained nausea/vomiting.
