Indications
- Bacterial skin infections
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- Susceptible infections: 500 mg three times daily
- Severe infections: Up to 1 g three times daily
Pediatric Dose (Oral):
- <1 year: Approximately 15 mg/kg
- 1-5 years: 250 mg
- 5-12 years: 500 mg
- Doses to be taken three times daily
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Application site burning, irritation, itching, and redness
- Nausea, abdominal pain (oral)
Precautions & warnings
- For external use only (topical)
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth
- Do not use more often or for longer than advised
